Anti-Aging Wrinkle Tips - What Wrinkles Can Tell On You!

Are your wrinkles giving away your lifestyle secrets?

It’s amazing how many secrets facial lines and furrows can give away. Here are a few red flags, including anti-aging wrinkle tips -what wrinkles can tell on you.

Are vertical lines etched at the sides of your nose, near your eyes, on your cheeks? Look closely. They may be faint but if they’re there, they’re sure to get deeper. They are dead giveaways that you sleep with your face burrowed into your pillow. Try a contoured pillow to help you to stop sleeping on your face.

Do you have furrows between your brows? How’s your hostility quotient? Anger, frustration or laboring too intensely over a problem can be doing in more than your face. Relax, breathe deeply, let go. To erase the evidence, wear Frownies, little triangular pieces of brown paper with water soluble glue on the back, at night while you sleep and during the day when you are alone. If you’re a daytime facial “scruncher,” the Frownies will help you to retrain your facial expressions. If you scrunch in your sleep, the Frownies will prevent the furrows.

Are crows feet giving you the bird? Take note of how you laugh. Get sunglasses to help you to stop squinting in the sun. Supplement with vitamin A or beta carotene to strengthen your eyes and if you suspect you need new eyeglasses, schedule a checkup. Gently press on the wrinkles, without stretching the delicate skin around your eyes to help minimize the obvious.

Are your lips in an eternal pucker? Watch your facial expressions. Do you purse your lips when you are concentrating? Are you a smoker? Flatten your lips against your teeth and stroke in vitamin E and ascorbyl palmitate (oil based vitamin C) with your pinkies.

Are you plagued with pucker lines and crows feet? Now, there’s a really good chance that you’re a smoker. Start supplementing with vitamin C and micronized collagen. And, of course, the obvious, stop smoking.

Are deep horizontal furrows etched in your forehead? You may be telling the informed that you have constipation issues. Try a higher fiber diet. Or are you an eyebrow pumper, who “talks” with your eyebrows? Tape your forehead immobile when alone to retrain your muscle movements.

Does one side of your mouth turn down?  You may carry stress and pain in that area. Study your facial reflexes. Retrain your expression. Yawn to relax your jaw.

Is your mouth enclosed by “parentheses?” Either the fatty under-padding has thinned and the elastic proteins in your skin have become flaccid, or you sleep with your cheeks folded into the pillow. Facial acupressure or acupuncture and certain facial exercises can plump and tone.  Supplement with vitamin C and collagen to help rebuild your facial scaffolding. Make a note to sleep on your back.

Plagued by marionette lines, the lines that run from the corners of the mouth downward, giving the impression of a puppet’s mouth? Your teeth may be under filled or your dentures may need replacing. Amalgam (mercury) fillings are under filled to keep them from crumbling. Your bite may need to be built up and recalibrated.  If you wear dentures, they may need relining or replacing. After a time, the padding in your mouth flattens from the dentures and your mouth gets smaller. See your dentist.

It’s important to watch your expressions. Place a mirror next to your computer and near your phone so you can monitor your facial responses. Take note of these anti-aging wrinkle tips -what wrinkles can tell on you. Become aware of your sleeping habits. Remember those sunglasses. Take steps to eliminate the underlying issues that are giving away all of your health and lifestyle  secrets.

  1. Adding a few drops of Carrot Seed Oil to you regular moisturizer can work wonders for chasing off those lines and wrinkles. It regenerates skin and has a ton of nutrients in it that maturing skin just loves. My favorite skin care oil!

    • Julia M. Busch says:

Mine too, Arlene. You’ll find Carrot Seed Oil referred to throughout my book Treat Your Face Like a Salad (recently available in a 6-volume kindle edition). It helps to stimulate new cell growth and is great for devitalized as well as mature skin. Here’s a very effective little moisturizing-revitalizing mask from Treat Your Face….

1 cup cooked oatmeal, slightly warm
2-4 drops of Carrot Seed oil

Mix. Apply to your face and neck for 20 minutes. Rinse. Apply moisturizer.

Volume 3 contains aromatherapy for mature skin and includes recipes for toners, tonics and oils.

Here’s a wonderful combination of essential oils for use around the eye area:
Rock Rose (Cistus) is rejuvenating and tightening.
Myrtle adds elasticity, suppleness and moisture.
Twenty drops total of the essential oils to 2 ounces of the wheat germ carrier oil.

      Thank you for your comment.
